Being Humans, we are more than just bodies. We embody several layers, the physical body is the only tangible one. Intangible layers constitute the emotional body, mental body, spiritual body, and causal body. Our ego operates from our mental body. It helps us to make logical decisions and actions to be accepted in our society and to differentiate between our perceived notions of right and wrong.
As much as we love to be perceived as logically intelligent and smart by society, we all live in our emotional bodies where we are in constant search of love and acceptance beyond our rights and wrongs. We switch very often between our mental and emotional bodies depending on the surroundings we are in.
The fantasy we enjoy much more than the existential reality is hidden and sometimes scary to accept as we know it might create chaos if manifested in reality.
This confusion creates blockages in different layers of our body depending on where we lack to express ourselves. These blockages then manifest into our reality in various forms, i.e, physical pain, diseases, and mental imbalances, and shake the basic pillars of our beings, confidence, trust, hope, expression, etc.
This is where ART really helps us to channel the energy that we accumulate in between the chaos of our mental and emotional bodies.
When we start to express ourselves through any form of ART, be it painting, music, dancing, creative writing, sculpting, gardening, etc. we can augment the reality we are living in with the bits and pieces of our fantasies and bring them into the real world without creating any real chaos.
ART is a pivot between reality and fantasy, mental and emotional, and helps us to analyze and balance the scales of being right and being vulnerable to give and receive love.
Our ego has a tendency to react to our tangible five senses. But when we express ourselves using the silence of ART, our ego takes a backseat and our heart starts to converse without any fear of judgments and it is able to give and receive love beyond our comprehension.
